Your job
- You will be responsible for Designing, analyzing, and monitoring credit risk strategies for different loan products such as personal loans, auto loans, etc.
- Identify the opportunity areas for portfolio growth and pro-actively communicate with stakeholders
- Collaborate across other risk functions (example – technology, product, etc.) to implement the analytical decisions
- Understand existing underwriting rules, and strategies and replicate them in business rules using SQL & Python
- Design and analyze income, employment, and fraud verification strategies
- Develop, maintain and improve risk policies, strategies, processes and procedures within the assigned function
- Utilize application, bank and bureau information to derive business insights
- KPI generation, tracking of risk and delinquency metrics for portfolios using SQL/Tableau
- Revamp pricing strategy changes and launch A/B test to monitor the impact and performance of the change
- Set up the process to run eligibility conditions for marketing campaigns such as cross – sell, etc.
Capabilities
- Strong knowledge and certifications in programming, SQL, and Python (SQL is mandatory)
- Proficiency in best practices for coding, data manipulation, and creating reusable artifacts
- In-depth understanding of the Banking and Financial Services industry, preferably in the lending space (e.g., Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Auto Loans, etc.)
- Expertise in deriving recommendations and actionable insights from data to develop risk strategies
- Experience in building and leveraging credit risk datamarts using internal and third-party data sources (e.g., Experian, FICO)
- Ability to design and implement effective KPIs to measure strategy success
- Comprehensive understanding of various elements of risk strategy, including eligibility, verification, fraud prevention, and decline criteria
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present results effectively to business stakeholders
- Solid knowledge of designing, implementing, and evaluating statistically valid experiments, particularly A/B testing
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor Computer Science or Master Degree
